BLACKPINK’s ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ MV Surpasses 1.4B Views… First∙Best in K-Pop Group History

[MBN스타=안하나 기자] BLACKPINK’s MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ surpassed 1.4B views on YouTube. It is the first and best record in K-Pop group history.

According to YG Entertainment on November 23, BLACKPINK’s ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ MV surpassed 1.4B views on YouTube as of 3:32 AM.

The record was achieved in approximately 2 years and 5 months since its release on June 15, 2018. While the ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ MV is already renewing its own best K-Pop group MV views record every minute and every second, their rising trend is still hot.

In fact, the MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ set a milestone by reaching 1B views for the first time in K-Pop group history last year on November. It took them 4 months to reach 1.1B from 1B, 3 months to reach 1.2B from 1.1B, and approximately 2 months to reach 1.3B from 1.2B, showing an increase in pace on gathering views.

‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ is the title song of BLACKPINK’s first mini album, ‘SQUARE UP’. The point moves which look like they’re firing pistols along with the strong and catchy hook became popular, allowing the MV to become ‘The Most Viewed K-Pop MV in the World’ on the year of its release.
