TREASURE in ‘Weekly Idol’, Aegyo to BLACKPINK Cover… Rookies Who Even Surprises the MCs
[OSEN=김은애 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE opened their treasure box full of special charms in ‘Weekly Idol’.
On September 30 at 5 PM,TREASURE appeared on MBC Every1 and MBC M’s ‘Weekly Idol’ and presented aegyo, dance performances, and even joyous variety senses.
TREASURE appeared on the ‘Weekly Idol’ set while smiling brightly. Eunhyuk stated, “There are so many treasures, looking shiny and cool. But some of you seem nervous”. TREASURE replied, “It’s our first variety show appearance after making debut. But we’ll still make if fun”. Eunhyuk and Kwanghee laughed and stated, “But it’s still a variety show, so we’ll make it rough”.
TREASURE had time to present their own charms per member. TREASURE, who could not ease their tension at first, began to present their own charms and made the MCs cheer. TREASURE then began to focus on ‘Weekly Idol’ in full-scale by presenting their new song performance.
TREASURE had the ‘got you’ talk corner to figure out themselves through each other. In the process, the members shared their complaints on leader CHOI HYUN SUK by stating, “He only takes care of the younger members”. HYUN SUK stated, “There are no ranks within TREASURE members. I love all of you”, but the members continued to share their disappoint, making HYUN SUK flustered.
YOON JAE HYUK also confessed that he wants to make a finger flick on JUNKYU by stating, “Your cuteness level is too much, I can’t take it”. CHOI HYUN SUK continued, “JUNKYU makes a slugfest when he eats breakfast. Like he’s playing the drums”.
TREASURE also challenged the representative corner of ‘Weekly Idol’, the Otoke Song. The members were embarrassed at first but cheered each other by yelling, “We can do this”. The members were shy but revealed their aegyo when music started playing, presenting different charms of TREASURE.
TREASURE also presented powerful dance moves during the ‘2 times faster dance’ corner. Eunhyuk was surprised and stated, “My neck joints almost got removed. It was so fast”. JUNKYU was surprised at himself and stated, “It worked. It does”. TREASURE then raised the mood by competing with each other passionately based on their overflowing excitement.
That was not all. TREASURE presented the cover performance of BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ for the first time. They covered BLACKPINK with TREASURE’s own colors.
Lastly, Eunhyuk thanked TREASURE by stating, “You really did a great job in making our program stand out”. TREASURE also thanked them and stated, “Thank you for presenting us so nicely today. We would like to make appearance on our next comeback as well. We really learned the variety. We also thank the fans who always stay with us”.
