YG’s Rookie Group TREASURE Enters Billboard’s ‘Social Chart 50’ Even Before Making Debut… Fastest Record Among All K-Pop Groups
[OSEN=김은애 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE proved their global popularity even before making official debut.
According to Billboard’s recent charts(May 30th) announced on the 27th(local time), TREASURE was ranked at no. 40 on the ‘Social 50’ chart.
What surprises everyone is that they are the fastest K-Pop group to enter the ‘Social 50’ chart. It also signifies that TREASURE is receiving a lot of love from global fans, although they are yet to make official debut.
TREASURE, who has confirmed their upcoming debut in July, is a 12-member boy group composed of CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, SO JUNG HWAN, and BANG YE DAM. Moreover, the group is gathering attention as YG’s next generation boy group that will lead BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON. The group is planning to release new songs 3~4 times from July until the end of the year.
Furthermore, TREASURE is continuing to present various video contents in addition ‘T-TALK’, the latest addition to their content series, including ‘TREASURE MAP’, ‘TMI’, ‘Fact Check’, and ‘A 3 Minute TREAUSRE’ to meet their global fans.
As mentioned, while TREASURE is receiving attention from global music fans even before making debut, they are expected to shake the K-Pop scene this summer with their sturdy musical talents and skills.
Meanwhile, BANG YE DAM, the main vocalist of TREASURE, will challenge the K-Pop scene with his first solo track ‘WAYO’ on June 5th. Senior artists from YG including YOON of WINNER and LEE CHAN HYUK of AKMU have participated in the writing and composing of ‘WAYO’, which gathered high expectations by music fans.
