YG to Hold First-Ever Producer Audition Since Establishment, “Will Give Full Support”
[YTN Star=지승훈 기자] YG Entertainment(YG) is searching for rookies who will become YG’s in-house producers.
On May 25, a poster uploaded on the YG producer audition website(www.yg-producer.com) revealed detailed information on how to apply.
People can apply as a producer regardless of age, nationality, and academic background from May 25th until June 30th through the website. The applicant should choose a field among trackmaker, topliner, and all-rounder to submit 2 of one’s own creative works.
The YG producer audition will be held in two rounds, and the final winners will be selected on the second round. Selected applicants from the first round can receive mentoring from YG’s producers and will be given supportive funds for 3 months. After some period of time, winners will be announced through internal evaluation. The final winners will become YG’s in-house producers.
Since YG’s in-house producer audition is being held for the first time in 24 years since the agency was established, it is expected that rookies with infinite potential and possibilities will actively participate.
YG stated, “We will utilize YG’s customized talent training know-hows which gave birth to global artists including BIGBANG, WINNER, iKON, and BLACKPINK. We will discover gems and fully support them to grow their character and musical capabilities”.
Meanwhile, a social media account and an audition website(www.yg-audition.com) were created for the applicants who dream of becoming artists of YG in the future.
Applicants of the artist audition can apply through the website and can actively communicate with YG through their social media account. People can apply to the artist audition any time and there are no restrictions or qualifications in applying.
