[서울뉴시스=이재훈 기자] It has been shown that the average seat share rate group ‘BLACKPINK’ during their world tour turned out to be nearly 97%.
According to YG Entertainment, the ‘BLACKPINK 2019-WORLD TOUR IN YOU ARENA ENCORE’ had an average seat share rate of 96.6% during their 32 concerts which started in Seoul last year on November and continued through a total of 23 cities and 4 continents, including Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania. 22 concerts held in Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, LA, Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta, Fort Worth, London, Paris, Macau, and Melbourne were all sold out.
With their concert held in Bangkok, Thailand from the 12th~14th, BLACKPINK successfully completed their world tour which continued for approximately 9 months. The group performed at the ‘Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival’ held in Indio, California on April 12th and 19th for the ‘first time as a K-Pop girl group’, grabbing the attention of the world. Their first-ever North America tour was held in arena-scale with over 10 thousand seats per concert.

Their latest album ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ also achieved noticeable results on the US Billboard. The album was ranked at no. 24 on the ‘Billboard 200’, while the title song ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ was ranked at no. 41 on the Billboard ‘Hot 100’. In addition, the MV for their global hit song titled ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ became the first K-Pop group video to surpass 800M views, setting a milestone in K-Pop history.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will hold a dome tour in Japan consisted of 4 concerts held in 3 cities. Their schedule will begin on December in Tokyo Dome and continue in Osaka Kyocera Dome next year on January, to Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome on February.
