WINNER Comeback D-1, Reveals 4 Individual MV Teasers for ‘CROSS’… “A Power Source That Makes Next Year Happier”
[OSEN=선미경 기자] With their comeback only a day ahead, group WINNER presented sensual vibes by revealing individual member teasers for their new album ‘CROSS’.
On October 22 at 12 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded YOON and JINU’s D-1 poster and revealed individual member teasers at 10 AM, through their official blog.
Each teaser clip teased parts of the melody of ‘SOSO’, the title song of their upcoming album, while presenting various scenes of the members.
YOON stroked a horse standing next to him, adding curiosity to the story of the MV. JINU looked as if he is about to burst into tears while watching a car burn in the vast wilderness.
MINO sat in a chair on a cliff, thinking of something with empty eyes. HOONY looked as if he was agonizing with a scarred face and grabbed the viewers’ attention by starting to run towards somewhere without a hitch.
The individual teaser clips containing stories of the 3 members raised expectations on the full version of the MV.
After dominating music charts on May with their song ‘AH YEAH’, WINNER has notified another comeback in approximately 5 months. They also shared their thoughts on doing so.
WINNER stated, “It’s an album we worked hard on, to keep the promise between all of you who are the power source that makes us go forward”. They also shared their fond feelings for the fans by adding, “We hope this album will be a present that can help wrap up 2019 with happiness, and a power source that makes next year even happier”.
On October 23 at 6 PM, WINNER will release their third mini album titled ‘CROSS’. Physical copies will be released on the 29th. As the title suggests, WINNER’s album ‘CROSS’ signifies WINNER’s own relationships, music, and stories created while the 4 unique members with their own characteristics and directions cross and become united as a group.
The title song ‘SOSO’ was written and composed by YOON, while MINO and HOONY participated on writing the lyrics of the song. The song expresses one pretending to be calm despite his inner wounds and anger after a breakup, as being in a state of ‘SOSO’.
WINNER will meet their fans on the 26th and 27th in Seoul KSPO DOME(Olympic Gymnastics Arena) by holding a concert titled, ‘WINNER ‘CROSS’ TOUR IN SEOUL’. The group will then go on an Asia tour in 7 cities of Asia including Taipei, Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Singapore.
