BLACKPINK will hold a dome tour composed of 4 concerts in 3 cities and will perform in Tokyo Dome on December 4, in Osaka’s Kyocera Dome next year on January 4th and 5th, and in Fukuoka’s Yafuoku! Dome on February 22.

BLACKPINK, who went on an arena tour in Japan last year during July, performed in Kyocera Dome for the first time as a girl group from overseas on December, decorating the finale of their tour with glam. The group’s second tour will be extended to their first-ever dome tour in 3 cities, proving the group’s surprising growth in popularity.

BLACKPINK is expected to gather a total of 205,000 audiences through their upcoming dome tour. After confirming a total of 29 concerts in 22 cities of 4 continents including Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania as their 2019 world tour, BLACKPINK will continue their epic-scale world tour by adding 4 dome concerts in 3 major cities of Japan to their schedule.

Prior to their tour in Japan, BLACKPINK will meet the local fans of Japan by performing at ‘Summer Sonic 2019’, Japan’s representative music festival, among global artists such as The Chainsmokers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The 1975.

Meanwhile, after making comeback with ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ on the 5th, BLACKPINK topped iTunes Song charts in 37 different regions of the world including the US, which is the country with the biggest Pop music market. In addition, they set their own best record on UK’s Official Chart by entering the according chart as no. 33.

Furthermore, they proved their ‘global popularity’ by entering the Spotify’s Global Top50 chart as no. 4 and US Top50 chart as no. 35 with their song ‘KILL THIS LOVE’. Spotify is known as the biggest music platform in the world.

On April 12(local time), BLACKPINK performed at ‘Coachella Festival’, the biggest music festival of the US, for the first time as K-Pop idols and locally marked their presence. Well-known media channels such as Billboard, The LA Times, and UK BBC praised BLACKPINK by reporting, “BLACKPINK set a milestone in Coachella history” and that “The group presented the charms of K-Pop”.

While letting their presence known in the States, BLACKPINK will begin their North America tour on the 17th, starting in Los Angeles. On the 18th, they will appear on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, the famous American talk show. The group will then decorate the stage of ‘Coachella’ once again on the 19th, to meet the local music fans.
