[스포츠조선닷컴=정유나기자] The choreography unedited version video of BLACKPINK JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ which displays her glamorous choreography surpassed 100 million views.

On February 25 at 8 PM, YG Entertainment uploaded a congratulatory poster celebrating the ‘SOLO’ CHOEOGRAPHY UNEDITED VERSION surpassing 100 million views, with JENNIE’s charismatic appearance from behind as the background.

The ‘SOLO’ CHOEOGRAPHY UNEDITED VERSION released last year on November 16 surpassed 100 million views in 102 days, today, at 8 PM. It is unprecedented for an unedited choreography video to surpass 100 million views rather than an official MV, proving the heated interest on JENNIE’s performance.

The ‘SOLO’ CHOEOGRAPHY UNEDITED VERSION is the full version of the group dance which is presented at the end of the MV. JENNIE touches her shoulder with her forefinger or draws a circle on the rhythm of the chorus, while these catchy moves became a hot topic among the fans.

JENNIE’s MV for ‘SOLO’ set a new record of surpassing 200 million views in 90 days since its release, for the first time as a Korean female artist. The song ‘SOLO” also topped the iTunes Worldwide Song chart for the first time as a track released by a Korean female solo artist. As the first runner of BLACKPINK’s solo project, JENNIE exhibited strong presence in the global stage.

All 7 MVs released by BLACKPINK has surpassed 100 million views including the MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ which is at 600 million views, ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ and ‘BOOMBAYAH’ at 500 million views, ‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’ and ‘WHISTLE’ at 300 million views, ‘STAY’ at 100 million views, and JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ at 200 million views.

BLACKPINK is also the artist group with the greatest number of MVs with over 500 million views among all boy and girl groups of K-Pop.

BLACKPINK has recently notified the start of their promotional activities in the US by appearing in famous TV programs including CBS’ representative late-night talk show titled ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, ABC’s morning news program titled ‘Good Morning America (GMA Day)’, and ‘Strahan and Sara (GMA Day)’.

In addition, starting with their upcoming concert in Los Angeles to be held on April 17, BLACKPINK will perform in Chicago on April 24, Hamilton on April 27, Newark on May 1, Atlanta on May 5, and in Fort Worth on May 8 as part of their first-ever world tour in North America.

All tickets for BLACKPINK’s first-ever North America tour, consisted of 6 concerts in 6 cities, were sold out in an instant. Selling all tickets although the venues were in arena-scale with over 10 thousand seats per venue proved BLACKPINK’s growth potential in the US market, as well as surprising many concert-related officials. It is said that they are considering additional concerts, due to the heated support of fans.

Prior to their tour schedule, BLACKPINK will perform at the ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ for the first time as K-Pop idols on April 12 and 19, warming up for their upcoming North America tour.
