BLACKPINK Adds 6 North American Cities to Their World Tour… ‘The Late Show’ Broadcasts Today [OFFICIAL]

[OSEN=하수정기자] BLACKPINK confirmed their North America concert schedule following their confirmation in Europe for their ongoing world tour.

Today(12th) at 12 PM, YG Entertainment revealed the BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA ‘IN YOUR AREA’ NORTH AMERICA poster through their official blog.

Starting in Los Angeles on April 17, BLACKPINK will perform in Chicago on April 24, Hamilton on April 27, Newark on May 1, Atlanta on May 5, and in Fort Worth on May 8. The group will meet the local fans in 6 cities through a total of 6 concerts. 

BLACKPINK will perform at the ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ for the first time as K-Pop idols on April 12 and 19. Their upcoming performance on the 12th holds a big meaning since it signifies the start of their North America tour. 

Following the North America tour, BLACKPINK will continue their world tour in 6 regions of Europe including Amsterdam on May 18, Manchester on May 21, London on May 22, Berlin on May 24, Paris on May 26, and Barcelona on May 28. Their schedule for Australia will be announced in the future.



BLACKPINK is currently going through their first-ever world tour in Asia. Starting with their concert in Bangkok held last month on the 11th, they’ve held concerts in cities including Jakarta, Hong Kong, and Manila. They will continue their Asia tour by performing in Singapore on the 15th, in Kuala Lumpur on the 23rd and 24th, and in Taipei on March 3. 

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to appear on CBS’ ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, the representative late-night talk show of the US, today (11th, local time). The show will broadcast at 1:30 PM in Korea Standard Time.

On February 12(local time), the group will appear on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’, the representative morning news program of the US, and Strahan and Sara(GMA Day)’, the afternoon broadcast of ‘Good Morning America’ on the 15th. 

BLACPINK proved their strong presence on the 9th as the representatives of Interscope Records at Universal Music Group’s Grammy Artist Showcase, held in Los Angeles, California.

AP News and the New York Times spotlighted BLACKPINK’s first-ever performance in the US by writing, “Many people from the social media wanted to watch BLACKPINK perform” and added, “The girl group from Korea received a standing ovation from the audience after their performance was over”.
