Today (11th), YG Entertainment revealed ROSÉ’s cover of ‘Eyes Closed’ by Halsey, an American singer, through their official blog.
ROSÉ fascinate the listeners’ ears with her soulful and deep emotions. ROSÉ, the main vocalist of BLACKPINK, showed off her great vocal skills while covering the song with her own unique style, different from the original version. Her cover song was also shared through YouTube, Soundcloud, and Instagram.
ROSÉ performed Halsey’s ‘Eyes Closed’ as her solo song during BLACKPINK’s Japan tour held last year. The stage brought out positive reactions from the fans, and Halsey started to interact with ROSÉ by following her Instagram account.
On ROSÉ’s surprise cover song present, the fans replied by giving favorable reviews such as ‘a fantastic vocal’ and ‘a master of vocal tone’.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK presented a successful US debut performance at the Grammy Artist Showcase. The group will now begin their full-scale US promotion by appearing on popular TV shows including ‘Good Morning America’.
