16-Year Old KIM DO YOUNG from ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ Selected as Member of Second Group… YANG HYUN SUK, “A Member with Future Potential” [OFFICIAL]
[OSEN=김은애 기자] KIM DO YOUNG was selected as the second member of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, following HA YOONBIN and MASHIHO.
Today(1st) at 11 AM, YG Entertainment revealed the poster finalizing the third member of YG’s new boy group to be launched following ‘TREASURE’ as KIM DO YOUNG from ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, through their official blog.
KIM DO YOUNG who started dancing at 3rd grade in elementary school participated ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ as part of team Treasure A. He worked hard as the youngest member of the team along with BANG YE DAM-KIM JUN KYU-CHOI HYUNSUK in Treasure A.
During the monthly evaluations, YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK favorably reviewed KIM DO YOUNG’s dance by stating, “It’s very trendy. This dance utilized his physical strengths very well”.
KIM DO YOUNG is 16 years old and a third-year trainee of YG but was acknowledged as a member of future potential.
On the semifinal stage of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, KIM DO YOUNG presented a passionate performance as a member of the team that performed ‘DUMB & DUMBER’, which was also the team that advanced to the finals after winning no. 1 on the team battle performances. However, the fans were frustrated since he did not make it to the debut team. Although he failed to make debut in TREASURE, he became a member of YG’s second next-generation group with his amazing talent and skills.
The 7 members from ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ including BANG YE DAM-HARUTO-SO JUNG HWAN-KIM JUN KYU-PARK JEONG WOO-YOON JAE HYUK-CHOI HYUN SUK were selected as members of ‘TREASURE’, YG’s upcoming next-generation boy group.
YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK announced his special plans to form a second group composed of 6 trainees from ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ through his official social media, then HA YOON BIN-MASHIHO and KIM DO YOUNG were announced as the debut members of the second group.
‘YG TREASURE BOX’ is a program that contains the creation process of YG’s next generation boy group following the legacy of BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON. The first episode broadcasted through VLIVE started with 150 thousand live viewers while the 10th and final episode reached 1.72 million live viewers, 11 times more than the first episode, proving the explosive reactions and popularity of the show.
The videos containing the individual trainees’ charms along with the main episodes surpassed a total of 130 million views, gathering the attention of fans not only in Korea but also overseas.
The remaining three members of the second new boy group to be presented by YG, following HA YOON BIN-MASHIHO-KIM DO YOUNG, will be announced through the ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ VLIVE channel until the 4th.
