JENNIE→MINO→WINNER, Consecutive Home Runs… ‘All-Kill’ Until the End of the Year
[OSEN=정지원 기자] Following BLACKPINK’s JENNIE and WINNER’s MINO, group WINNER was also placed at no. 1 on music charts to continue YG’s consecutive home runs.
WINNER’s new single ‘MILLIONS’ is placed at no. 1 on Melon, Genie, Olleh Music, Soribada, and Bugs Music as of December 19 at 6 PM.
With the announcement that WINNER will release a seasonal song that fits well with the year-end, the fans have been looking forward to WINNER’s new release. As the group was to release a new song in approximately 8 months since they released ‘EVERYD4Y’ back in April, the fans had high expectations.
WINNER made a fresh song in a Tropical Pop genre with a warm vibe that fits the winter. MINO has revealed his affections towards the song through an interview by stating, “It will be nice to hear this song instead of a Christmas carol song. It’s a song that will freshen and warm up this year’s Christmas”.
YOON who participated in both writing and composing of the new track revealed his wish by stating, “I hope the song can pass on the warmth to as many people as possible”.
The continuous success of YG artists on music charts also grab the people’s attention, as WINNER topped music charts following JENNIE and MINO. JENNIE’s solo debut song ‘SOLO’ has previously achieved an ‘all-kill’ on music charts, while MINO’s title song ‘FIANCÉ’ has also received favorable reviews. He not only achieved a no. 1 on music charts, but also favorable reviews on musicality.
Following the success of the two solo artists, group WINNER’s new release also topped music charts.
