“Nobody Can Beat Him” … ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ BANG YE DAM’s Legendary Title Defense [YESTERDAY TV]
[OSEN=이소담 기자] BANG YE DAM had a legendary title defense. He achieved victory with his performance which no challenger could beat, whoever the challenger was. BANG YE DAM proved the value of his name and fame.
On ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ pre-released on the 14th through Naver V App, the 1:1 position swap between Treasure 7 and the trainees continued. BANG YE DAM maintained his position with his performance of Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’.
The positions of the Treasure 7 are not definite. KIM JUN KYU, MASHIHO, PARK JEONG WOO, BANG YE DAM, SO JUNGHWAN, HARUTO, and HA YOONBIN were selected as the first debut group, but the remaining trainees had continuous chances to challenge the members of the debut group. KIM YEON GYU even took PARK JEONG WOO’s spot to join the Treasure 7.
BANG YE DAM is a talented individual, even among the skilled trainees. He has the largest presence, while his vocal skills got even better with YG’s training system. He is the one nobody can challenge easily, and his defending stage was a performance of a song by Justin Bieber that can emphasize his great vocal time.
BLACKPINK selected five trainees who could not join the debut group. They were the only ones who had a chance to challenge Treasure 7, and the last challenger was WANG JYUN HAO. He chose BANG YE DAM since he wanted to challenge a skilled individual.
The two people sang Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’. BANG YE DAM sang the intro and noticed a birth of a legendary performance video. The trainees where in awe while stating, “I thought they turned on the AR”. The 100 Treasure Makers composed of employees of YG reacted the same way.
‘YG TREASURE BOX’ is a boy group survival program to select members of YG’s next generation boy group being launched in 4 years, following BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON. While the program is revealing YG’s actual music producing know-hows and its internal-system accumulated for the past 22 years, BANG YE DAM raised expectations on the upcoming boy group by presenting a legendary performance.
Representative producer YANG HYUN SUK explained, “If I exaggerate, no artist can beat him if he sings like that. I believe the viewers made the same evaluations as I did”. Representative YANG’s decision was BANG YE DAM, and the viewers are also leaving favorable reviews on BANG YE DAM’s performance after the show.
