[연합뉴스=박수윤 기자] Girl group BLACKPINK’s MV for ‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’ surpassed 300 million YouTube views on November 28.
As of 2:19 PM today, the first figure of the view count changed from 2 to 3.
‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’ is the title song from BLACKPINK’s second digital single ‘SQUARE TWO’ released on November 1, 2016, that expresses a girl’s heart that fell in love with tropical house rhythm.
BLACKPINK reached over 100 million views on all 6 MVs released since the group’s debut on August 8, 2016, including the MVs ‘BOOMBAYAH’, ‘WHISTLE’, ‘PLAYING WITH FIRE’, ‘STAY’, ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’, and ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’. Even the choreography videos for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ and ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ surpassed 100 million views.
The MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ reached 500 million views, while videos for ‘AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST’ and ‘BOOMBAYAH’ surpassed 400 million views. BLACKPINK is the only K-Pop group to hold 3 MVs with over 400 million views.
The global boy group BTS holds 1 video with 500 million views (DNA), 1 with 400 million views (FIRE), 4 videos with 300 million views, and 4 videos with 200 million views.
While BLACKPINK started the individual solo project, the popularity of JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ is still hot. According to Billboard on the 27th (local time), JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ topped the ‘World Digital Song Sales Chart’, while maintaining its top ranks in Korean music charts as well.
