WINNER Successfully Completes Their First-Ever Concert in the Philippines… Popularity Realization of ‘REALLY REALLY’, ‘Airport Rumbles’
[OSEN=김은애 기자] WINNER successfully completed their first-ever solo concert in the Philippines, while the special events prepared by the local fans followed.
On November 10, WINNER held the ‘WINNER 2018 [EVERYWHERE] TOUR IN MANILA’ in Mall of Asia Arena located in Manila, Philippines. As it was WINNER’s first-ever solo concert being held in the Philippines, the fans welcomed WINNER in various ways.
The fans filled up the airport while singing ‘EVERYDAY’, as WINNER entered the country. The streetlight banners displaying the members’ photos prepared by the fans around the concert venue grabbed the people’s attention. There was also an event which a video of WINNER was presented in the outer electronic board and the MoA (Mall of Asia) Globamaze, the round shaped building structure.
The fans formed a long line in early hours on the date of the concert, proving WINNER’s local popularity.
Blue outfits and props that represent the color of WINNER’s official lighting sticks were seen everywhere. The audiences’ unique fashion including fans and masks including portraits of the members and pants with MINO’s first solo album title ‘XX’ drawn on it also stood out.
When the concert began, and WINNER appeared, the fans filled up the stadium with heated roars. After starting the concert with their debut song ‘EMPTY’, WINNER performed ‘AIR’ while communicating with the fans at a close range.
YOON mentioned the event prepared by the fans and stated, “I’ve had good memories in the Philippines. I’ll take a photo and upload it in my social media” and added, “I’m really touched. Thank you so much”, expressing his gratitude towards the fans. HOONY shared his delighted heart by stating, “I’ve visited this country to film Season’s Greeting, and I’m happy to be back in such a short time with WINNER’s concert”.
The members of WINNER made the crowd cheer by presenting their individual skills through solo performances.
The heated popularity of ‘REALLY REALLY’, WINNER’s biggest hit song that surpassed 100 million chart-in streams for the first time as a male idol group, was still valid in the Philippines. The fans sang-along as if the concert venue would blow up, while WINNER’s fantastic vocals filled up the stage in full.
While performing the dance track ‘LA LA’ with exciting melodies, the audiences stood up and jumped, cheering for WINNER. The crowd also cheered when the group’s senior artist Sandara Park, the mega-star in the Philippines, congratulated the group’s concert through a special video clip.
The events prepared by ‘INNER CIRCLE Philippines’ continued throughout the concert.
While waiting for the encore performances, the fans sang ‘MOVIE STAR’ together while waving their phone lights, brightening up the venue. They also revealed their unstinted affections towards WINNER with the slogan that read, ‘INNER CIRCLE, the EVERYDAY Shelter for WINNER’, warming up the people’s hearts at the scene.
HOONY promised, “Let’s meet again in the Philippines” while MINO shared his thoughts by stating, “Thank you for making us good memories”. YOON explained his overwhelming feelings by stating, “I saw the fans waiting for the concert in a long line. It’s an unforgettable scene”, while JINU communicated the fans in local language and stated, “I love you”, revealing his special affections. Even after the heated concert that continued for 140 minutes, the audiences kept their seats for a while as if the lingering image was still there.
After filling up the Philippines with blue waves, WINNER will perform in Jakarta on the 17th and end their Asia tour schedule in Hong Kong on the 24th. After completing their tour in success, MINO will release his first solo album on the 26th. WINNER will stay active by releasing their 3rd official album and holding an encore concert in Seoul next year on January.
