iKON Takes Over Thailand… ‘Sing-Along + Touching Event’ During Their Concert in Bangkok
[OSEN=지민경 기자] iKON successfully held their concert in Bangkok, Thailand with the heated support of local fans.
From October 19~20, iKON held the ‘iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR IN BANGKOK’ in Thunder Dome Muang Thong Thani located in Bangkok, Thailand to make special memories with Thai fans.
Thailand was filled with heat for iKON even before the concert began. After successfully completing the ’iKONCERT 2016 SHOWTIME TOUR’ in Thailand 2 years ago, the group extended this year’s tour in Thailand into 2 concerts, considering the heated support of local fans in Thailand. Nevertheless, all tickets for both concerts were sold out, proving iKON’s global popularity.
The fans filled up the venue in red, waving iKON’s official lighting sticks. iKON fascinated local fans with high-quality performances that went on for 110 minutes.
iKON made a glamorous appearance from the 2nd floor, using a stage lift equipment while the song ‘BLING BLING’ started playing in the background. The stage effects that reminded people of gunpowder and fire pillars started off the beginning of the concert, raising the mood at the scene.
All 7 members prepared phrases in Thai, proving the group’s earnestly and efforts. They shared warm phrases such as ‘I love you’, ‘I missed you’, ‘I was happy today, thanks to all of you’, and ‘Let’s meet again’, while the fans responded with a passionate response.
The event prepared by Thai fans also heated up the scene. The fans sang ‘Long Time No See’ while waiting for the encore performances, while touching the members’ hearts through a slogan event. iKON responded by doing their best for the fans that cheered for iKON.
The fans also prepared a birthday song and the slogan ‘Our good leader, please be happy!’ for leader B.I who’s birthday is on the 22nd, creating a touching scene.
The airport was filled with Thai fans during iKON’s arrival and departure. The airport area was almost paralyzed at the time, proving iKON’s exceptional popularity among local Thai fans.
After hitting three consecutive home-runs with songs ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, ‘KILLING ME’, and ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, iKON will continue to pass on the heat of their overseas tour on October 25 and 27 in Sydney and Melbourne, November 4 in Singapore, November 11 in Manila, November 18 in Jakarta, and on November 25 in Hong Kong.
Furthermore, iKON will appear on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ today (21st) after winning a total of 19 trophies in music broadcasts, including their 11 trophies on ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, 1 trophy on ‘KILLING ME’, and 7 trophies on ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, to prove their unrivaled popularity once again.
