“No. 1 March” … iKON Wins 19 Trophies in Music Broadcasts This Year, ‘Amazing Outcome’
[OSEN=강서정 기자] Group iKON is setting milestones by winning their 19th trophy in music broadcasts this year.
iKON is piling up their discography while achieving great results with the title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ from their 2nd album ‘Return’ which created syndromes on January, the title song ‘KILLING ME’ from their mini album ‘NEW KIDS : CONTINUE’ released on August, and ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ from the mini album ‘NEW KIDS : THE FINAL’ released on October 1.
The group has been more active than ever by making 3 comebacks within the year, while achieving meaningful results.
As a result, iKON set their own best record in various music broadcasts. They won a total of 11 trophies with ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, 1 trophy with ‘KILLING ME’, and 7 trophies with ‘GOODBYE ROAD’, accumulating a total of 19 trophies in music broadcasts. They established their dominant presence with an unrivaled record.
Furthermore, the group topped the K-Pop Weekly Chart and K-Pop MV Chart of QQ Music, which is China’s largest music service platform. They also topped KUGOU Music’s K-Pop New Releases Chart, proving the group’s popularity in the China region.
That was not all. The album ‘NEW KIDS: THE FINAL’ was ranked at no. 1 on Gaon Chart’s 40th Week Rankings announced on the 11th. The title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ dominated the Downloads Chart, helping the group succeed in both album charts and song charts.
While setting milestones in and out of Korea, iKON will continue the rest of their overseas tour. The group will perform in Bangkok on 10/19~10/20, in Sydney and Melbourne on 10/25 and 10/27 respectively, in Singapore on 11/4, Manila on 11/11, Jakarta on 11/18, and in Hong Kong on 11/25.
