BLACKPINK X Dua Lipa’s Collaborative Work, ‘Kiss and Make Up’ Released
[텐아시아=우빈 기자] The collaborative song created by group BLACKPINK and Pop star Dua Lipa was released today (19th).
BLACKPINK and Dua Lipa presented an amazing synergy effect through the song ‘Kiss and Make Up’, listed on the album ‘Dua Lipa THE COMPLETE EDITION’. The song was released through Apple Music (Korea) on the 19th at midnight, while the song will be released on other music platforms on the same day at 12 PM.
BLACKPINK did more than merely featuring on the song, as they oversaw half of the parts within the entire track. JENNIE, JISOO, ROSÉ, and LISA captured the listeners’ ears at once with their 4 unique vocals.
As the group who set the best record among all girl groups in the world in the ‘TOP 10 Most Views MV in 24 Hours’ list announced by US Billboard with the song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, all music videos released by BLACKPINK ever since making debut have over 100 million views. They have two videos with over 400 million views, while the group also surpassed 10 million YouTube subscribers on their official channel.
Dua Lipa is also a ‘hot’ artist who reached 1.4 billion views with her hit single, ‘New Rules’. She is also the most streamed female artist in the digital music service platform, ‘Spotify’. Furthermore, she topped UK’s Charts for 8 consecutive weeks with the song ‘One Kiss’, for the first time as a female artist in the last ten years.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK announced that all members will be releasing solo tracks, starting with JENNIE. It is a project ongoing along with BLACKPINK’s upcoming release. ROSÉ will follow up JENNIE with her own solo track.
Also, BLACKPINK will hold their first-ever solo concert in Seoul titled ‘BLACKPINK 2018 TOUR [IN YOUR AREA] SEOUL X BC CARD’ on November 10 at 6 PM and on the 11th at 5 PM in Seoul KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena).
