iKON Wins Double Crown as They Enter Gaon Charts… No. 1 Album+Downloads
[OSEN=김은애 기자] iKON won the honor of achieving a double crown on Gaon Charts.
On Gaon Chart’s 40th week rankings of 2018 announced today (11th), iKON’s new mini album ‘NEW KIDS: THE FINAL’ topped the album chart. Their title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ also topped the downloads chart, allowing iKON to receive the double crown.
The song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ written and composed by leader B.I has received attention as a well-made track that contains sentimental lyrics and high musicality. The song is expected to maintain popularity in the long-run, as it perfectly fits the vibes of autumn.
iKON has previously topped not only Korean music charts after making comeback on October 1, but also overseas iTunes Charts in 25 different countries, renewing the group’s own record.
Furthermore, the song topped the K-Pop Weekly Chart and K-Pop MV Chart of QQ Music which is China’s largest music platform, while also topping KUGOU Music’s K-Pop New Releases Chart, proving the group’s popularity in China.
While receiving the love and support of global fans as mentioned above, iKON is currently going through an overseas tour. They will perform in Kuala Lumpur on 10/13, Bangkok from 10/19~10/20, in Sydney and Melbourne on 10/25 and 10/27, Singapore on 11/4, Manila on 11/11, Jakarta on 11/18, and in Hong Kong on 11/25.
