US CNN Spotlights SEUNGRI’s New Music Video
[텐아시아=김하진 기자] US CNN spotlighted the MV for ‘WHERE R U FROM’, which is the double-title track from SEUNGRI’s first official album ‘THE GREAT SEUNGRI’.
On July 30 (local time), CNN introduced, “SEUNGRI took on the most sensitive issue in the Korean peninsula, the US-North Korea Summit”. They added, “Kim Jong Un is drinking champagne arm-in-arm with Donald Trump in the chorus”.
They continued, “Although the video does not reach a social commentary level, SEUNGRI’s MV took on a sensitive topic while K-Pop is apolitical”.
The MV revealed on the 27th gathered attention by mocking the meeting between president Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un. While many leaders in a global summit were arguing, SEUNGRI wearing a military police uniform and WINNER’s MINO wearing a North Korean army uniform leads the summit to a global festival.
CNN also wrote, “SEUNGRI is currently successful despite the vacancies of other members of BIGBANG”.
The MV for ‘WHERE R U FROM’ was directed by producer Park Junsoo. The scenes display political satire and parodies here and there, which make viewers burst into laughter.
