On July 29, YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK uploaded pictorial photos of BLACKPINK along with hashtags, “#BLACKPINK #VOGUEKOREA #AUGUST #YG”.
The revealed photos displayed members of BLACKPINK surrounded by pink dolls and toys. The beauty of the members looked amazing even in cryptic outfits, capturing the viewers’ attention.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK established themselves as a ‘global girl group’ that represent K-Pop, with the release of their first mini album ‘SQUARE UP’ on the 15th. The group debuted at Billboard’s main charts including the ‘Billboard 200’ as no. 40 and ‘Hot 100’ as no. 55, setting a milestone in K-Pop girl group history.
