BLACKPINK Tops Artist Brand Reputation Rankings for July

[스타뉴스=임주현 기자] Girl group BLACKPINK (JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, LISA) topped the Artist Brand Reputation Rankings for July.

According to the Korea Business Reputations Research Institute on July 28, the institute analyzed 99,012,960 big data related to artist brands in categories such as brand participation, media, communication, and communities. The number of big data reduced by 4.74% compared to April, which added up to 103,939,104.

The Artist Brand Reputation Index extracts big data related to the artist brand and categorizes them as participation value, communication value, media value, and community value. The index then analyzes positive and negative ratio through a reputation analysis algorithm. The brand reputation analysis can figure out who, where, how, and how much people are discussing about a specific artist.

BLACKPINK had 2,229,766 as their participation index value, 2,826,878 media index value, 3,595,378 communication index value, and 1,958,982 community index values, adding up to a total of 10,161,005 brand reputation index value, which put the group in the no. 1 spot. Their figure rose by 115.94% compared to their value of 4,913,937 on April.

Koo Changhwan from the Korea Business Reputation Research Institute stated, “According to the artist brand reputation analysis for July 2017, BLACKPINK was placed at no. 1. The total artist brand category numbers were reduced by 4.74% compared to April. The detailed analysis shows that brand participation was reduced by 16.68%, brand issues increased by 15.01%, brand communication reduced by 11.75%, and brand expansion reduced by 9.02%”.

He added, “According to the artist brand reputation analysis results for July 2018, BLACKPINK’s highest keywords were ‘pretty, fresh, and precious’. The link analysis showed high figures in ‘JENNIE, Running Man, and Billboard’”.
