‘Comeback’ BLACKPINK Will Open ‘SQUARE UP’ Concept Pop-Up Store on the 16th
[OSEN=정지원 기자] A pop-up store where visitors can experience BLACKPINK’s first mini album ‘SQUARE UP’ will open on the 16th.
BLACKPINK’s concept pop-up ‘BLACKPINK AREA [SQUARE UP]’ will be open for a total of 9 days from the 16th to the 24th in BLACKPINK HOUSE located in Seogyo-Dong, Seoul. The pop-up store will be located inside the ‘BLACKPINK HOUSE’ where BLACKPINK shot their first exclusive reality program, and will be open in hours from 4 PM to 10 PM.
The fans will enjoy and experience BLACKPINK’s ‘SQUARE UP’ through exhibitions held in ‘BLACKPINK AREA [SQUARE UP]’.
The audience will be able to enjoy exhibitions on MV concepts, photos of BLACKPINK, ‘SQUARE UP’ album introduction, ‘SQUARE UP’ game zone, and album concept video photo zone after receiving a stamp card in the entrance of the pop-up store. They will receive a present after achieving a ‘SQUARE UP’ by progressing through various exhibitions and games.
Fans who post a proof shot on their social media at the scene of the concept pop-up will receive a limited-edition sticker at the spot.
Furthermore, 1 photo will be selected daily from social media sites as the best photo among photos with hashtags #BLACKPINKAREA_SQUAREUP #YGSELECT_PICTALK, and the winner will receive a BLACKPINK stick or a signed CD. YG SELECT PICTALK will also gift a signed BLACKPINK stick, a signed CD, and reward funds to the person who uploads the photo that receives the most number of hearts.
BLACKPINK will release their first-ever mini album ‘SQUARE UP’ on June 15 at 6 PM. ‘SQUARE UP’ has the meaning of ‘Let’s fight’ and ‘Let’s verse one another’, and contains the message of ‘standing tall’.
The album was executive produced by hitmaker TEDDY who has been working with BLACKPINK ever since the group’s debut, and contains 4 tracks including the title song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, the sub-title song ‘FOREVER YOUNG’, ‘REALLY’, and ‘SEE U LATER’.
The MV teaser for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ revealed through YG Entertainment’s official blog on the 14th appealed BLACKPINK’s sophisticated and fierce charms, raising expectations on their comeback.
BLACKPINK will meet the fans through V LIVE to celebrate their comeback on June 15 at 5 PM, right before they release their new album. The members will introduce tracks listed in the album, reveal behind stories, and listen to requests by fans.
