Netflix Meets YG… Sitcom ‘YG Electronics’ Coming Soon
[파이낸셜뉴스=조윤주 기자] Netflix and YG Entertainment will present a new variety program, ‘YG Electronics’ this year.
The program will be directed by producer Park Joonsu, who popularized B-grade variety programs such as ‘God of Music’ and ‘Enemy of Broadcasting’, while Kim Minsuk, known as the writer for ‘SNL Korea’ participated as the writer of the show. The fancy starring cast includes BIGBANG’s SEUNGRI, YOO BYUNG JAE, LEE JAIJIN of SECHSKIES, WINNER, iKON, JINUSEAN, BLACKPINK, and other members from various idol groups.
‘YG Electronics’ is a reality sitcom that illustrates a story about SEUNGRI, who dreams about becoming no. 1 in YG but gets demoted to YG’s strategy center, which is a department everyone in YG wants to avoid. He struggles to save YG Entertainment and to successfully make comeback.
‘YG Electronics’, which is an abbreviation of ‘YG Strategy Data Center’, will illustrate stories from YG Entertainment’s imaginary electronics department in a total of 8 episodes. With the bold and challenging genre, reality sitcom, the program is expected to present fresh entertainment and storyline for the viewers.
Producer Park Joonsu stated, “I’m excited by the fact that ‘YG Electronics’, freshly prepared with a lot of ambition, will be released in 190 countries worldwide”. He continued, “More Entertainment contents which many people can enjoy, will soon come”.
