“No Competition” … iKON’s ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ Maintains No. 1 Spot For 19 Days
[스포츠서울=이게은 인턴기자] Group iKON is maintaining their no. 1 spot in music charts for 19 consecutive days. Besides, they are dominating no. 1 spots in every major Korean real-time and daily chart.
As of February 12, 8 AM, the title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, from iKON’s 2nd official album ‘RETURN’, was placed at no. 1 in Mnet, Naver Music, Bugs, Monkey 3, Olleh, Genie, Soribada, and Melon, which is Korea’s largest music streaming platform. In other words, they’ve achieved another ‘perfect all-kill’.
While receiving the brightest spotlight in Korea since debut, the group is also gathering attention in the United States, which is the country with the largest music industry.
Recently, the world-famous news magazine ‘Time’, released an article with the title ‘Best K-Pop Groups You Should Know About’, and selected 6 top groups of K-Pop.
Time highlighted iKON by stating, “iKON released their new album on January, and dominated music charts with the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’. Their popularity is at their prime not only in Korea, but also in the global market”.
People are paying keen attention on what kind of milestones iKON will achieve in the future, as they became the most ‘popular idol group’ of early 2018.
