[DA:INTERVIEW] iKON, “YANG HYUN SUK’s Social Media Activities Are Cute”
[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] Group iKON is actively promoting their 2nd official album in Korea, under unprecedented support from YG Entertainment. YG’s representative producer, YANG HYUN SUK, is showing his affections for iKON by spreading words through his social media.
iKON responded, “He’s cute”.
“What kind of spoiler did he spill? What kind of caption did he write? They make me curious. I feel grateful since all those posts are interesting and are out of love for us”. (B.I)
Youngest member CHAN stated, “He’s really interesting in his social media activities and he also feels really young. I think he has younger senses than us”. DK displayed his affections for the president by stating, “We appreciate the fact that our president accepts requests from the fans himself, through social media. He communicates, promotes, and accepts requests. I’m happy about it”.
YOON mentioned the popular phrase ‘#Will try to accept all requests from Konics’, and added “His hashtag is a popular phrase among us. We are deeply moved that he cares for us and our fans, iKonic”.
Then are there any not-yet accepted requests left? In fact, there are none. JAY stated, “I think he knows everything about us. He did everything for iKON. He directly communicates a lot with us, and even asked if we have any complaints. Our minds worked well together”, noticing satisfactory comeback activities.
iKON has been receiving global attention since they released their 2nd official album, ‘RETURN’, on January 25. While the title song is maintaining its no. 1 spot for a long period of time in Korea, it was also placed at no. 1 in iTunes Album Charts in 17 different countries, and topped the iTunes Comprehensive Album Chart in Japan as soon as the album was released. The song was even selected as Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ in the United States. iKON also dominated both real-time and daily charts of QQ Music, which is China’s biggest music streaming platform. Furthermore, they are planning to make guest appearances in variety programs including ‘Knowing Bros’, ‘Weekly Idol’, and ‘Sugar Man 2’, as well as holding a fan signing event and a fan meeting.
