[OFFICIAL] iKON Climbs Up and Dominates All Charts … Will Appear in ‘Young Street’ Today
[OSEN=이소담 기자] iKON maintained their no. 1 position in music charts for 12 consecutive days, while also climbing up and dominating all charts.
As of February 5, 9 AM, the title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ from iKON’s 2nd official album was placed at no. 1 in 9 real-time streaming charts in Korea including Naver Music, Mnet, Genie, Bugs, Soribada, Olleh, Monkey 3, and Melon, which is Korea’s biggest music streaming platform. They started dominating all charts starting from the evening of February 4 until now, for 2 consecutive days.
The record of maintaining the no. 1 position for 12 consecutive days is impressive, but the fact that the number of charts iKON is dominating is increasing is remarkable.
‘LOVE SCENARIO’, released last month on the 25th, maintained its no. 1 spot in Melon and Bugs. Through a word of mouth, the popularity of the song widened, and the number of charts dominated by iKON increased to 5 real-time charts on February 3rd, and 6 charts on the 4th. And finally, iKON dominated all charts today on the 5th.
The results are more meaningful since iKON maintained their position despite new releases by other influential artists. Besides, iKON’s march on the no. 1 spot is indicating signs of prolonged domination in music charts. ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ surpassed the point of becoming iKON’s biggest hit, and became the center of K-POP in early 2018.
It seems that the song’s catchy melody and the lyrics that portray a farewell with a lover as a melodrama scenario will be sung and heard by people for quite a while.
iKON, actively promoting their album in Korea with their first intentions, will continue their activities through not only music broadcasts, but also through radio programs and variety programs.
On February 5, iKON will appear as guests in SBS Power FM ‘Lee Guk Joo’s Young Street’, to continue communicating with their fans.
