iKON Releases Teaser For ‘LOVE SCENARIO’… ‘MY TYPE’ Vibes
[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] Group iKON released a teaser video for their sentimental title song, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ for the first time.
On January 22, YG Entertainment released the teaser video for iKON’s one-title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ from their 2nd official album through their official blog.
The teaser clip for ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ was shot using a new filming technique called MCC. The camera angles that naturally flow every scene as if it was a play, adds interest to the video along with vintage colored sets and items.
The 22-seconds long teaser captured the listeners’ ears with its bright and joyful piano riff rhythm. The fact that the song had different vibes compared to what people anticipated was very impressive. It wasn’t’ a typical dance song by idol groups or a swag showing Hip-hop song. The first impression from the song was as fresh as the first-time people heard ‘MY TYPE’, back when iKON first made debut.
Related officials from YG Entertainment stated, “’LOVE SCENARIO’ contains an unexpected charm with the contrast between bright piano riffs and calm but sad farewell lyrics. Please look forward to the enchanting choreography they will perform as well”.
Most artists from YG have had two title songs in one album and have produced two music videos. However, iKON’s 2nd album has one title song and one music video, although the album is consisted of 12 tracks. It’s their strategy to focus on the one-title song rather than separating attention, for iKON’s successful comeback in Korea.
Related officials from YG added, “iKON wants to let not only their fans but also the public to know iKON’s growth and musicality”. “It would be amazing to be on the top charts, but the most important thing for iKON is to steadily and actively promote the album in Korea, since they focused in the Japanese market last year and did not have a lot of opportunities to meet the Korean fans”.
The 2nd official album by iKON shows a more mature sound compared to their previous works. It’s as if the lyrics portray feelings from a young person who just became an adult who sincerely agonizes and fails in love.
YG also stated, “As one can see from YANG HYUN SUK’s active communication with the fans through his social media, iKON will actively communicate with the fans this year. Please look forward to it”.
iKON’s 2nd official album, consisted of 12 tracks, will be an album that will also show B.I’s growth as a producer, since he participated in the writing and composing of all tracks. In the one-title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, B.I was credited as lyricist and composer while BOBBY has co-written the lyrics with B.I.
iKON noticed an active promotion in Korea starting with their comeback on January 25 with their 2nd official album ‘RETURN’, through music broadcasts and variety programs including JTBC’s ‘Knowing Bros’ and MBC Every1’s ‘Weekly Idol”.
