‘MIXNINE’ Thoughts on Debut by 9 Members from WOO JINYOUNG to LEE BYUNG GON, “A Priceless Gift”
[스타뉴스=임주현 기자] Members of the boy team from JTBC’s variety program ‘MIXNINE’ shared their overwhelming thoughts on the group’s upcoming debut.
On January 28, YG Entertainment revealed the boy team’s thoughts on making their debut through ‘MIXNINE’.
On the last episode of ‘MIXNINE’ which aired live on January 26, the debut group was finalized through the final round. As a result of the final round with a competition based on 4 new tracks, the boy team made their debut come true. The 9 boys proved their potentials and possibilities to be finally able to shine on stage.
The winning members who will be part of the boy-group with producing from YG are WOO JINYOUNG (Happyface), KIM HYOJIN (WM), LEE RUBIN (Liveworks Company), KIM BYUNGKWAN (Beat Interactive), CHOI HYUNSUK (YG), SONG HANGYEOM (Staro), KIM MINSEOK (WM), LEE DONGHOON (Beat Interactive), and LEE BYUNG GON (YG).
WOO JINYOUNG who won 1st place stated, “I feel happy to have received a priceless gift. I know that I couldn’t make this happen by myself, so I always feel grateful. I will work hard and stay humble”.
KIM HYOJIN who was placed at 2nd requested attention on the group’s future activities by stating, “’MIXNINE’ has helped me grow little by little. I would like to thank all staff members and the fans that supported us. I feel like it’s only the beginning, and will show improvement in the future”.
LEE RUBIN who won 3rd place due to a big jump in rankings displayed his confidence by stating, “I still can’t believe I made it to the TOP9. It was only possible because of the fans. I will show a better side of me as your prince from now on”.
KIM BYUNGKWAN who was placed at 4th stated, “Thank you for supporting and showing love. I will continue to do my best to create good music and display good performances”.
CHOI HYUNSUK who was ranked at 5th place expressed his ambitions by stating, “I’m happy that I made it to the TOP9, as 5th place which is a high ranking. My birthday is in April, and I received a gift I will never forget, since I will be making debut in April. I will try harder to really become YG’s future”.
SONG HANGYEOM at 6th place made a promise by stating, “I feel grateful to be in the TOP9. I was able to come this far thanks to the fans that gave me support. The contestants and staff from ‘MIXNINE’ are all very special to me. I will be back as SONG HANGYEOM, new and improved”.
KIM MINSEOK at 7th place stated, “I feel sorry to say goodbye to this program because there were so many overwhelming and happy memories. I appreciate everyone that showed support and will become a better artist. I will do my best as the youngest member from the TOP9”.
LEE DONGHOON at 8th place stated, “Thank you for letting me spend good times with amazing friends. I will come back with better performances. Thank you for loving and supporting LEE DONGHOON, once again”.
LEE BYUNG GON who made the debut group as 9th place expressed his hopes by stating, “I would like to thank everyone that voted and supported me. I will try to become BYUNG GON that doesn’t let your support down”.
‘MIXNINE’ is a reality competition program in which YG’s representative producer, YANG HYUN SUK visits entertainment agencies nationwide to discover new rising stars. As Korea’s first program with competition between male and female teams, the contestants fiercely competed each other in every round. The program was not simply a fragmentary survival show, but was a program that displayed the sincere growth phases of contestants which ended with a beautiful finale. The 9 boys who were selected as the final debut group will make debut on April.
