[V LIVE COMPREHENSIVE] “iKON Earns 210 Million Hearts” … D-1, The Comeback Fans Have Desperately Waited For
[OSEN=김은애 기자] It’s an official album in 2 years and a comeback in 8 months. iKON is ready to come back to the K-Pop scene. They are even actively accepting requests by iKonic, noticing a legendary new album.
On January 24, iKON ran ‘KONFIDENTIAL NIGHT’ through Naver VLIVE. The members captured the fans’ attention by gathering and telling stories regarding the new album, and their whereabouts. The number of viewers watching the broadcast surpassed 200,000, while the broadcast earned approximately 200 million hearts.
iKON stated during the broadcast, “We didn’t just rest during the past 8 months. We engaged in a lot of activities”. JU-NE stated, “We all got mature. Every member worked on self-improvement. I practiced singing a lot since I’m a vocalist”.
B.I who participated in the writing and composing of all songs in iKON’s new album confessed, “I was in the practice room and the accommodation for 8 months. I was living in seclusion, and just worked on our album”.
When iKON’s whereabouts were revealed, the fans replied, “It’s been a long time, we missed you”, warming the hearts of viewers. The phrase is part of the lyrics from iKON’s song, ‘Long time no see’.
B.I stated, “Our new album will be released tomorrow at 6 PM”. He explained, “The sad lyrics on top of bright piano riffs will be impressive. It’s a song I worked on”.
He continued, “YANG HYUN SUK accepted requests from Konics and let the fans hear a snippet of ‘LOVE SCENARIO’”. He made an offer to the other members, “Let’s spoil other songs with short snippets”. DK accepted and sang a part of the song ‘BEAUTIFUL’ from the album, which made the fans go wild.
iKON also emphasized the special bonus tracks. BOBBY stated, “We accepted the requests from iKONIC and put 4 songs. The 4 songs include ‘SINOSIJAK’, ‘LOVE ME’, ‘JUST GO’, and ‘LONG TIME NO SEE’.
JAY added, “Long time no see’ is the song most loved by fans. YANG HYUN SUK decided to accept the requests from Konics, and we were able to contain the song in this album”, and did an impression of YANG HYUN SUK.
During the VLIVE, iKON also communicated with the fans. They accepted stories of witnessing iKON by fans. The episode which B.I forgot to turn off the computer at a PC room made the viewers burst into laughter.
Furthermore, iKON stated, “There will be an extensive fan-meeting on Sunday, March 11 at Olympic Hall. There will also be a fan signing event on January 28. We will have a lot of opportunities to meet each other, for iKonic who have waited for us”.
Meanwhile, iKON will release their 2nd official album ‘RETURN’ on January 25 at 6 PM. The album with 12 tracks will display B.I’s growth as a producer, as he was credited as lyricist and composer in all tracks.
Above all, iKON is planning to actively promote their album with the one-title song, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’. Also, they will meet the fans through a fan signing event, a fan meeting, and variety programs including ‘Knowing Bros’ and ‘Weekly Idol’.
