Will YG’s Rapper ONE Start an Acting Career? A One Act Play Followed Up by ‘Hwayugi’
[뉴스1=윤효정 기자] The casting for tvN’s one act play ‘Drama Stage’s piece ‘Moonjib’ (script by Shin Haeun / directed by Lee Yoonjung) have been finalized.
The casting for tvN’s one act play ‘Drama Stage’s piece ‘Moonjib’ got finalized. ‘Moonjib’ is a piece that unravels the memories at 17 years old of a girl that became an adult and coincidentally receives a collection of poems from her student years. A warm comfort from her first love to the lonely youth in the collection of poems will be beautifully presented through the play. ‘Moonjib’ is already building up attention as Lee Yoonjung will be directing the play, who previously directed works with distinct characteristics including tvN’s ‘Argon’, ‘Cheese in the Trap’, and more.
Shin Eunsoo, Jung Jaewon, and Lee Eunsem was casted as main characters of ‘Moonjib’. Shin Eunsoo will play the role of ‘Shin Soi’, a chic girl from Seoul who visited her grandparents in the countryside. While she surprised the people around her with her spiteful remarks, she is a delicate girl who has a wound in her heart. Shin Eunsoo will meet the viewers with emotional acting in a story where the girl grows up to become an academy teacher who coincidentally finds a collection of poems from her childhood.
Jung Jaewon, who recently acted on tvN’s ‘Hwayugi’ from being the ‘visual rapper ONE’, will play ‘Jin Hyun’. ‘Jin Hyun’ is a clear and cool country boy, who has good looks, good grades, and good personality. As he becomes close to ‘Soi’ who finds out about his secrets, ‘Jin Hyun’s fresh boy-act is expected to capture the minds of viewers.
Also, Lee Eunsem, Seo Hyunwoo, and Noh Susanna were confirmed to be on the play and will add completeness to ‘Moonjib’ with their attractive acting. Lee Eunsem will play the role of ‘Sungji’, a classmate of ‘Soi’ who has ‘Jinhyun’ in her heart. Seo Hyunwoo will play ‘Soi’s uncle ‘Minchul’ and will display a distinctive performance. Noh Susanna will play ‘Sunhwa’, Soi’s homeroom teacher and ‘Minchul’s lover, and will provide diverse spectacles.
‘Drama Stage’ by tvN including ‘Moonjib’ starring Shin Eunsoo and Jung Jaewon will first premier on December 2, Saturday night at 12 KST and will continue for 10 weeks.
The one act play ‘Drama Stage’ by tvN is the name that holds a meaning as a debut stage for rookie writers. The 10 plays are consisted of winning scripts from CJ E&M O’PEN’s ‘Drama Storyteller One Act Play Contest’. O’PEN is a rookie storyteller support business operated by CJ E&M. ‘Drama Stage’ is planning to focus on ‘us living at this era’ and show sensitivity from troubles people can relate to in real-life.
