[DA:Chart] SECHSKIES entered major music charts in and out of the country with new songs “SOMETHING SPECIAL+SMILE”
[동아닷컴=곽현수 기자] SECHSKIES is sweeping major music charts in and out of the country with their new songs “SOMETHING SPECIAL” and “SMILE”.
“SOMETHING SPECIAL”, the title track of “ANOTHER LIGHT”, SECHSKIES’ first new full album in 18 years, took No.1 on the chart of Mnet, NAVER, and Soribada upon its release on September 21. “SMILE”, the other title track took No.2 on charts, proving SECHSKIES’ still-formidable popularity.
Notably, all the songs in the album are ranked in top 10 on the chart of Soribada, proving SECHSKIES’ tremendous power on charts. In addition, all the nine songs in SECHSKIES’ new album are ranked in the chart of six music-streaming websites: Melon, Mnet, NAVER, Soribada, Genie, and Bugs.
SECHSKIES’ new album is also sweeping overseas charts. It took No.1 on the iTunes albums chart of Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan. It also took No.2 on the chart of Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, to prove SECHSKIES’s enormous popularity in Asia.
SECHSKIES’ fifth full album “ANOTHER LIGHT” is the team’s first full album in 18 years, which expresses SECHSKIES’ differentiated color and style. The members of SECHSKIES said, “We’ll keep working hard and trying new style continuously, not remaining as the same SECHSKIES”. The new album filled with nine new songs perfectly reveals how much efforts and passion SECHSKIES put in it.
