SECHSKIES says, “We’re now making an original album”… Japanese fans hailed with acclamations
[OSEN=최나영 기자] Group SECHSKIES has proven their growing popularity in Japan once again.
SECHSKIES met Japanese fans by holding fan meeting event “SECHSKIES JAPAN FAN MEETING 2017” on September 3 at HATCH in Namba, Osaka. By continuing their fan meeting event following the previous one held on August 7 in Yokohama, SECHSKIES is laying the foundation for their full-blown career in the country.
SECHSKIES appeared on the stage with explosive acclamation and applause and electrified the venue by performing the Japanese versions of their hit songs “Com’ Back”, “BE WELL”, and “SAD SONG”. The fans at the event rooted for SECHSKIES by singing along every song SECHSKIES performed. The atmosphere of the event reached the climax when SECHSKIES sang their all-time hit “COUPLE”. The event proved how much Japanese fans have been waiting for SECHSKIES.
SECHSKIES not just presented the performances of their hit songs, but also communicated with Japanese fans by showing behind photos of their music video shooting in Japan. SECHSKIES members also talked about their recent personal lives and engaged in quiz competitions and games with fans. Notably, the members faced big difficulties for quizzes about one another, to make fans burst into laughter.
SECHSKIES unveiled news about their new album by saying “We’re now making an original album. Please look forward to it” and then promised to meet fans in Japan soon again, saying, “We’ll look forward to the day to see you again. We’ll come back as a better SECHSKIES”.
SECHSKIES showed potential for their global success by taking No.1 on domestic music charts after their reunion after 16 years of separation last year, as well as No.1 on China’s Kugou chart and No.9 on Billboard’s world albums chart. SECHSKIES made an official debut in Japan by releasing “THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY -Japan Edition-“ in Japan on the 19 last month, 20 years after their debut in Japan. Since their debut, SECHSKIES has been enjoying substantial popularity in the country.
SECHSKIES is now working hard on a new album, after confirming their comeback in September this year in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their debut. On the 23 this month, the team will host “2017 SECHSKIES 20TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT” at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, to unveil the performance of new song for the first time.
