[Exclusive] Producer Han Dong-cheol’s new audition program will be aired in a golden time of weekend on JTBC (ft. YANG HYUN SUK)
[OSEN=최나영 기자] A new audition program of producer Han Dong-cheol who has produced Mnet’s “Show Me the Money” and “Unpretty Rap Star” has confirmed its broadcasting in a golden time of weekend on JTBC channel.
According to information that OSEN obtained on August 29, the new audition program to be produced by Han Dong-cheol will be aired in a golden time during weekend, at 6PM on Saturday or Sunday on JTBC channel, in the second half of this year.
Producer Han Dong-cheol is a star producer who has created hip-hop boom among the public by leading Mnet’s “Show Me the Money” and “Unpretty Rap Star” show to a great success. Notably, Han created a seismic change in the music scene with the great sensation of “Produce 101” show. He has recently left CJ E&M to join YG Entertainment in May this year. The new audition program is Han’s first project since he joined YG.
YG Entertainment’s head YANG HYUN SUK will directly appear in Han’s new audition program, to find out new gemstones by himself. YANG made such decision with a deep trust in producer Han Dong-cheol who has proven his competence by creating mega-hits with many audition programs so far. YANG will come back to an audition program after one year of absence from TV screen since SBS “K-Pop Star 6” whose first episode was aired in November last year.
Insiders say that YANG has a special affection for the new audition show and has been showing especially big enthusiasm for the program, directly participating in idea meetings. YG Entertainment will spare no support for the new audition show, conveying professional know-how and well-established system for the program and its contestants.
As the new audition show is a program made by audition experts both in name and substance, it is drawing keen attention from people in and out of the broadcasting scene. People are also keenly interested in how the new audition show is differentiated from “Produce 101”, as it claims to be a whole-new audition program with an advanced concept.
