“Not pretending to be tough”… YG ONE’s title track beyond expectation… Part of “Gettin’ by” unveiled
[OSEN=최나영 기자] “ONE”, YG Entertainment’s first new male solo artist in 14 years, has unveiled part of his debut title track.
Today (July 3) at 10AM, YG Entertainment released a teaser film of the music video of “Gettin’ by”, the title track of ONE’s debut album, on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com).
In the teaser, ONE is making everyone wear a natural smile with his “handsome” look loved by young generation. What is more surprising is the style of ONE’s music that broke people’s expectation.
The film presented a new style of ONE different from his rather awkward performances as a member of 1PUNCH for a short period of time in 2015 and in Mnet’s “Show Me the Money” season 4 and 5, when he tried to be tough on the stage.
ONE’s new style of vocal in which he sings tenderly with relaxed voice and body seems to go perfectly with him.
The chorus part of the new song that goes “Hi, it’s been so long / how have you been? / To the same question / I give the same answer / I know / It’s just one of those days / I’m just gettin’ by / Everything’s just so so” is unveiled in the teaser, to further raise music fans’ anticipation for the complete new song of ONE.
The lyrics of “Gettin’ by” were written by ONE on his own, with his song-writing skills sharpened for the past two years. The song’s melody was composed by ONE and Cha Cha Malone, a producer of AOMG. ONE’s collaboration with the outside producer is creating a fresh synergy in “Gettin’ by”.
ONE will release the music and videos of “Gettin’ by” and “heyahe”, the double title tracks of his debut album, on July 11 at 6PM.
