ONE, YG’s first male solo artist in 14 years
[동아닷컴=최윤나 기자] The jewel box of YG is widely opened. After the news that rapper ONE will be the first YG artist to come back in the second half of this year was released with teaser posters that displayed his handsome appearance, music fans’ anticipation and curiosity for ONE’s debut are rising.
Today (June 27) at 10AM, YG Entertainment released teaser images that display ONE’s outstandingly handsome look on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com).
ONE boasts his eye-catching look even better than when he appeared in “Show Me the Money” season 4 and 5 in the images, making everyone want to download them.
On June 26, YG Entertainment released two teaser images of ONE: first one in the morning to fully reveal ONE’s innocent image and the second one in the afternoon, to show a rebellious image of ONE. The two contrasting images of ONE drew keen attention from Internet users and emerged as a hot topic on-line.
As ONE is YG’s first male solo artist in 14 years since SE7EN who made debut in 2003, music fans are paying keen attention to what style of music ONE will present to create a new sensation in the music scene.
So far, the members of YG idol groups including BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON have released solo albums, but ONE is the first male solo artist of YG in 14 years since SE7EN. Insiders say that YG’s CEO YANG HYUN SUK has spared no support for ONE’s successful solo debut.
After appearing in “Show Me the Money 4 and 5”, ONE has sharpened his song-writing capabilities for the past two years, for his solo debut. Finally, ONE is confidently coming to the frontline of the music scene as a solo artist, on July 11.
As YG suggested that “ONE’s new music will defy everyone’s prediction”, music fans are paying keen attention to the debut and future of ONE, the first male solo artist of YG in 14 years since SE7EN.
