iKON Becomes No.1 on Oricon’s DVD Chart and Will Participate in Tokyo Girls Collection
[OSEN=선미경 기자] iKON took the top spot on Oricon’s Weekly DVD Chart, demonstrating the group’s popularity in Japan.
Last year, iKON was named as Best Artist at the Japan Record Awards. BIGBANG won the same award seven years ago, and iKON became the third Korean act to win the award. Now, the live DVD and blu-ray of iKON’s “iKON JAPAN TOUR 2016” has become No.1 on the Oricon DVD Chart.
iKON will also be participating in the 24th Tokyo Girls Collection 2017 SPRING/SUMMER, which is scheduled to take place at the 1st Arena of Yoyogi National Gymnasium on March 25.
The Tokyo Girls Collection is a semiannual fashion event that showcases fashionable streetwear by domestic brands. Excited about the show, iKON commented, “We’re very interested in Japanese fashion. It’s a great honor for us. We’re really excited to be performing before models and fashion people. We’ll make sure to have a great stage ready for you.”
iKON’s encore tour, “iKON JAPAN TOUR 20162017”, will kick off in Osaka on February 10-11. The boy group will hold nine concerts in three cities, and 120,000 fans are expected to attend the concerts.
