[TV리포트 = 박지수 기자] The slapstick comedy of an idol singer in the 19th year since his debut filled “Running Man” show with laughter. That is the story of 1st-generation idol boy group SECHSKIES who has recently been reunited after 16 years of separation.

SECHSKIES (Eun Jiwon, Lee Jaijin, Kang Sunghoon, Jang Suwon, and Kim Jaeduck) and actress Hwang Wooseulhye appeared as the guests of SBS TV’s “Running Man” show aired on the 20 this month, to compete in a “catch-the-joker” race.

In the race, participants had to catch the “joker” put in the game to ruin it in secret. In order to find out the “joker”, the hosts and guests of the show engaged in a variety of games including couple limbo, relay picture quiz, etc. SECHSKIES members’ veteran slapstick comedy stood out in the games.

Lee Jaijin was at the center of all those comedies. He suggested Song Ji-hyo to carry him during the couple limbo game and then presented outstanding slapstick comedy in a pillow fight game on a balance beam.

After Eun Jiwon and Jang Suwon lost against “clumsy” Lee Gwang-soo, Lee Jaijin came forward for competition. Lee tried to jump onto the balance beam nicely, but missed his footing. Watching Lee, Yoo Jae-seok said in surprise, “Why do you do that? That is why you have back pain”.

Lee Jaijin went on to defend himself, hunkering down on the balance beam. However, he just fell down by Lee Gwang-soo’s one powerful punch with a pillow. Others looked at Lee with doubtful eyes, suspecting him as the “joker”.

Lee Jaijin’s fun character also stood out during the “catch-the-joker” tour as well. When Song Ji-hyo got gat kimchi (pickled mustard leaves), she handed it out to the staff of the show. Then, Lee Jaijin looked at Song with glaring eyes, saying so cautiously, “Excuse me, miss Song, could you give me a bite of that kimchi?”, making all the people of the show burst into big laughter.

During hide-and-seek, the final game for the show, Lee Jaijin hid himself in drain, then was dragged out of it by Kim Jong-gook. Lee struggled to get out of Kim’s hands and tilted his head, saying, “Oh, why was I caught?”, which was the climax of his comedy.

Jang Suwon also boasted great presence. He engaged in games as a “painter” who ruins relay quiz game. That was the biggest twist, as Jang Suwon was the joker of the game. Until then, Jang was acting greatly, pretending he was not the joker, but that did not last long. Even before the winning team was announced, Jang shouted, “I’m the joker!” Jang’s such honest confession that came out at the wrong timing marked the fun end of the “catch-the-joker” race.
