iKON took No.1 on Oricon with first single in Japan “DUMB&DUMBER”
[스포츠조선닷컴=이지현 기자] iKON took No.1 on Japanese Oricon’s daily ranking once again.
“DUMB&DUMBER”, iKON’s first original single in Japan released on September 28 recorded 38,000 sales, to take No.1 on Oricon’s daily CD single ranking upon its release.
That is iKON’s second No.1 on Oricon daily CD albums ranking, following the first No.1 on the chart with “WELCOME BACK” released in Japan in January this year. Such record is proving iKON’s big popularity in Japan.
Single “DUMB&DUMBER” is enjoying remarkable popularity on-line as well, taking No.1 on two genre charts of Japanese iTunes, including Pop Top Songs chart. Plus, hashtag related with iKON’s upcoming special Q&A event for fans on Twitter took No.1 on worldwide trend word ranking, proving fans’ keen interest in iKON again.
The single album includes total four songs in Japanese: “DUMB&DUMBER” that drew big popularity in and out of Korea; “#WYD” that swept top ranks on music charts both home and abroad when released in May this year; “LOVE ME” that has been unveiled only in Japan; and “SINOSIJAK REMIX” that was first unveiled in the last Japan tour of iKON.
In the meantime, iKON is currently carrying out their second Japan arena tour “iKON JAPAN TOUR 2016” that began in Chiba on September 11. The tour will continue until the end of October in six cities including Osaka, Kobe, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. Total 16 concerts of the tour will entertain approximately 176,000 fans in Japan.
