[2NE1 Series①] Secret Operation for the MAMA Stage

Virtually no one knew about it. No one expected that DARA would come on the stage after CL’s solo performance. And the appearance of BOM was shocking even. It has been nearly two years since she was having a hiatus after it was made known that she had been caught trying to smuggle amphetamine from the U.S. and that her indictment had been suspended.
Their performance was a top secret. It was a hidden card that would make a big splash, since 2NE1 hasn’t performed as a group for nearly two years. The secret had to be kept. CL and the other three members of the group took different planes when they left Korea. They didn’t have a rehearsal and didn’t even show up near the stage before the show began. They didn’t use the waiting room within the venue. This is why dozens of Korean reporters who were there were not aware of 2NE1’s performance in advance.
And it was a great success. When DARA came on the stage after CL’s solo performance, the audience was excited. The fans were surprised when they saw MINZY and BOM. And 2NE1’s performance was flawless, as if they had never had a hiatus. They were perfect and charismatic, which had many girls have a girl crush on them. And the audience was ecstatic.
Now, what matters is 2NE1’s comeback with new songs. It doesn’t seem like a remote possibility, given the excitement of the fans at MAMA.
