iKON’s BOBBY, KIM DONGHYUK, JUNG CHANWOO Looking Sad and Delicate in Teaser Posters for Their New Single
[동아닷컴=홍세영 기자] Teaser posters of iKON’s soon-to-be-released single “APOLOGY” came out, raising the expectations for their new single.
In the afternoon of November 13 and morning of November 14, YG Entertainment posted on its official blog (www.yg-life.com) teaser posters each featuring KIM DONGHYUK, JUNG CHANWOO, and BOBBY.
In his poster, KIM DONGHYUK looks chic in a black shirt and is gazing down with a hint of sadness in his eyes. There is a line from the lyrics of “APOLOGY” – You’re a fool to trust me. I said I will always be with you but it was a lie, a lie. – written above KIM DONGHYUK on the poster. It conveys the feelings of a man who is being hard on himself for leaving his lover.
JUNG CHANWOO looks much more mature with a new short haircut in his poster. His poster features the lyrics of “APOLOGY” that goes “The last missed call from you is on my phone, which I left facing down”. This expresses the painful feelings of a man who is trying very hard to avoid his lover.
BOBBY, who has always been so mischievous and energetic, looks forlorn in the teaser poster. The lyrics on his poster goes, “I hope the times we had spent together are as short and beautiful as the sunset.”
Teaser posters featuring iKON members and the lyrics of “APOLOGY” are being released one by one arousing curiosity among fans. “APOLOGY” is a slow R&B song expressing the sad feelings of a man who is leaving his lover against his will. B.I and BOBBY participated in writing the lyrics, and YG’s top producers TEDDY and KUSH participated in making the song’s music and lyrics and also its arrangement.
iKON’s new digital single has been getting a lot of spotlight because it is the first collaboration between iKON and YG’s top producers. Expectations are running higher now that it is announced that their new single is a slow R&B song, which is a new genre for iKON. iKON’s previous singles were all hiphop songs: “MY TYPE” is a medium tempo hiphop song and “RHYTHM TA” is a hiphop song with a powerful beat.
iKON will be releasing two digital singles. One is a hiphop duet song titled “ANTHEM” by B.I and BOBBY. They will be showing off their powerful rapping skills in this subtitle song. The title song is “APLOGY”, a sweet and sad R&B song with a slow beat. iKON is set to capture the hearts of the fans with these totally different digital singles.
Meanwhile, iKON will be releasing “ANTHEM” and “APOLOGY” along with the MVs at 12 AM on November 16. Their debut full album will be released on December 14.
