iKON’s formidable power, impenetrable from the beginning

AS of the 17 at 7am, iKON’s debut single “MY TYPE” is in the No.1 place on charts including Melon, NAVER Music, Olleh Music, Genie, Soribada, Monkey 3, and Bugs.
As of the 15 at 0 o’clock, iKON released their debut single “MY TYPE”. “MY TYPE” is a hip-hop song that expresses a boy’s confession of his innocent and pure love to a girl he likes. CHOICE37, KUSH, and B.I composed the melody and B.I, BOBBY, and KUSH wrote the lyrics of the song.
It is a tender and sweet song, which was unexpected by people who thought that iKON’s debut will be one with an intense beat and feel. The lyrics that sing pure love, as well as the confortable beat and melody well-express the appeal of innocent boys, and it is evaluated as an unexpected choice.
However, that is not the end. According to OSEN’s exclusive coverage on the 16, iKON recently shot the music video of two songs. Director Seo Hyeon-Seung who has directed T.O.P’s “Doom DaDa”, TAEYANG’s “RINGA LINGA”, G-DRAGON’s “COUP D’ETAT”, and BIGBANG’s “FANTASTIC BABY” directed iKON’s music videos. Seo Hyeon-Seung is a well-known music video director who is famous for beautiful images created by intense primary colors. It suggests that iKON’s new song will be a powerful hip-hop song with charismatic concept.
What will the next song of iKON still under the veil be like? Fans are paying keen attention to what new appeal will be presented by iKON after their pre-release that has already proven the team’s formidable power.
Meanwhile, the tickets for iKON’s first concert “SHOWTIME” to be held on the 3 next month at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall in Seoul are all sold out upon the beginning of the sale from the 16 at 8pm. It is a very rare case for a rookie idol group to hold a concert right after their debut at such a large concert hall. Tickets sold out within such a short period of time shows the fact that music fans have high expectations for iKON.
At the concert to be held on October 3 at 6pm, iKON members will perform their new songs including “MY TYPE” of warm-up single released on the 15. Plus, they will spend a meaningful time with fans, having open conversations with fans who have long waited and supported for iKON’s debut.
