[아주경제=김은하 기자] YG ENTERTAINMENT’s official mascot YG Bear KRUNK is taking part in Art Toy Culture 2015 (ATC 2015). Celebrating its second anniversary, ATC is the largest art toy fair held in Korea, where 150 toy artists from Korea, the U.S., Japan, Hong Kong and many other countries around the world participate.

YG is also joining ATC 2015, which will be held in Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Seoul, from Apr. 17th to 19th, unveiling new KRUNK products, its official mascot widely loved by the fans.

KRUNK is a mascot of YG and is a hip-hop-loving “fashionable celebrity.” It has been turned into a character representing the entertainment agency since it first appeared in LEE HI’s music video “IT’S OVER” two years ago.

And YG started to release character products from Dec. 2013. It also opened a KRUNK pop-up store in Seoul at a ping-pong pub, collaborated with renowned brands, released art toys of YG artists, and participated in the Seoul Fashion Week – all in an effort to overcome the limits displayed by the existing character industry. All these moves made by YG to expand the boundary of the character industry into other cultural areas have attracted much attention.

At ATC 2015, YG is showcasing KRUNK in many different ways, including art toys, designs, products and art works. Those who visit the KRUNK booth will be given character key rings made in collaboration with GFX, an art director, and an autograph event of KRUNK is also scheduled. YG will unveil for the first time at ATC 2015 the art toys of KRUNK SPACEMAN and BIGBANG, which were designed in collaboration with Eric So, a leading art toy artist from Hong Kong, and they are going to be offered in limited editions worldwide.
