2NE1’s “CRUSH” Asia’s Only One in FUSE TV’s “2014 Best Albums”
[OSEN=김사라 기자] 2NE1’s 2nd full album “CRUSH” was chosen as one of the 40 “2014 Best Albums” on America’s FUSE TV.
On the list that FUSE TV unveiled on Dec 15 (local date) were albums that sold a record-breaking number of copies, that helped the artist grow dramatically, and albums with hit songs. 2NE1 was the only Asian artist to be on the list.
FUSE TV commented that 2NE1 showed their talent in mixing and matching genres from their first track in the album “CRUSH.” The title track “COME BACK HOME” is a mixture of Indian Tabla drums and modern sounds. It is a hybrid of reggae and trap. FUSE TV also complimented CL’s “MTBD”: It is like an upgraded version of DJ Snake’s “Turn Down for What.”
Apart from this, 2NE1’s “CRUSH” also ranked #1 on Billboard’s “2014 K-Pop Best Album” while #9 on “2014 Year End World Album Artist.”
Other albums on FUSE TV’s list were: Ariana Grande’s “My Everything,” Cold Play’s “Ghost Stories,” Eminem’s “Shady XV,” Foo Fighters’ “Sonic Highways,” and Pharrell’s “Girl.”
