AKMU Receives Top 10 Award at 2014 MMA on Behalf of 2NE1
[마이데일리 = 전원 기자] 2NE1, despite receiving the trophy for being one of the top 10 artists, was not present at the event.
The 2014 Melon Music Award (MMA) was held at Seoul Olympic Park’s Gymnastics Arena on Nov 13. 2NE1 was chosen as one of the top 10 artists, but as they were absent, their fellow YG artist AKDONG MUSICIAN received the award on behalf of them.
The siblings came on stage and said, “We sincerely congratulate 2NE1. We will pass this to them safely.” 2NE1 is taking a break after a long period of going on the World Tour and YG Family Concert.
There were other awards in categories such as Artist, Best Song, Album, New Artist, Popular among Netizens, Music Style and Special. The top 10 artists were Beast, EXO, TAEYANG, god, 2NE1, Girl’s Day, Sistar, IU, WINNER and AKDONG MUSICIAN.
