Fans gifts “GD Forest” to celebrate his birthday
[엑스포츠뉴스=정희서 기자] A forest is to be built in celebration of BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON’s birthday.
Tree Planet announced on August 18, “G-DRAGON FOREST will be built in the city of Seoul.”
The fans decided to build a forest named “G-DRAGON FOREST” in celebration of GD’s birthday. The fans and Tree Planet embarked on the project since August 6.
G-Dragon forest project was designed by ‘Always GD’ and ‘GDWORLD,’ who opened a website to promote and fundraise. The fans agreed to participate in this meaningful project that celebrates GD’s birthday while preserving the environment.
The Forest is to be built in Seoul, and the project is in negotiation with municipality of Mapogu. The fans are to maintain and look after the Forest once it is built, carrying out environmentally friendly projects.
GD’s fans commented, “We are thrilled that such a place where G-Dragon and the fans share a memory can be built. We hope the green forest built under cooperation can be a place that can provide help to people.”
CEO Kim Hyung Soo from Tree Planet said, “Tree Planet will do our best to plant more trees in China, where there is a serious pollution caused by fine and yellow dusts. We strongly believe that such healthy fan culture will play a significant role in giving solutions to environmental problems.”
