TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” tops Gaon Karaoke chart 5 weeks in a row
[OSEN=김사라 기자] TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” topped Gaon Karaoke Weekly Chart for 5 consecutive weeks.
TAEYANG’s title track ranked #1 in the first week of August (July 27 to August 2) in the chart, following his past achievement for 5 weeks in a row since the weekly chart from the period of June 29 to July 5.
The song that was unveiled on June 2 is showing undying popularity. In the midst of new songs pouring into the music market, the song still ranks in the top range for 2 months on different music charts.
“EYES, NOSE, LIPS” is a slow R&B song that unleashes TAEYANG’s talents as a vocalist, breaking away from his traditional performance-focused tracks. The song appealed to the public with an addictive chorus and his sentimental voice, and the track was covered by various artists like AKDONG MUSICIAN, TABLO and LYDIA. Other artists like Eric Nam, Topp Dogg and Rush also did a cover in various versions, prolonging the popularity.
TAEYANG will make an official solo debut in Japan on August 13, and starting from August 12 and 13, he will kick off his Japan tour “SOL JAPAN TOUR ‘RISE 2014” at Osaka International Convention Hall.
