TAEYANG supports TABLO’s perfect reinterpretation of “EYES, NOSE, LIPS”
[동아닷컴 = 정준화기자] EPIK HIGH’s TABLO reinterpreted TAEYANG’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” in his own colors.
On its official blog YG Life (www.yg-life.com) at 9 pm on June 25, YG Entertainment uploaded the video of TABLO covering TAEYANG’s title track “Eyes, Nose, Lips” from his 2nd full album “RISE.”
TAEYANG’s title track was completely reborn through his fellow YG artist. With the original melody and TUKUTZ’s remix, TABLO’s English rap is even more impressive.
TAEYANG himself appears in the later part of the song. The latest cover is quite different to that of AKDONG MUSICIAN’s (AKMU) version of “Eyes, Nose, Lips.” TAEYANG’s English version of his original song makes the track even more soulful.
YG Entertainment embarked on the “Cover Project” starting with AKMU. It became so popular that many asked the agency to produce AKMU’s version as an actual track. It is no wonder all eyes were on the next cover artist—TABLO.
The title track “Eyes, Nose, Lips” has not only been knocking down domestic real-time, daily and weekly charts but also America’s Billboard 200, as he ranked #112, breaking the record for a South Korean male artist. He also swept across 4 music programs and received a total of 6 trophies.
