AKMU, “We Will Not Drink Alcohol at all to Keep Pureness”
[OSEN=박현민 기자] The sibling duo, AKDONG MUSICIAN (AKMU), made a sweet promise that they will stay away from alcoholic drinks to keep their ‘musical pureness’.
In the morning interview with OSEN on May 12 in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul, AKMU were asked about ‘their goal as musicians’. The duo answered, “We will try hard to broaden our musical spectrum and not to lose our musical pureness at the same time.” For this, LEE CHAN HYUK showed his will to ‘abstain from alcohol’.
LEE CHAN HYUK said, “When I meet other singers older than me, they often say, ‘I will buy you drinks when you become a grown-up. Try writing more diverse songs enjoying drinks.’ But every time, I politely refused saying, ‘I will not drink alcohol when I grow up.’” He emphasized adding, “I don’t want to create something with the help of alcohol. For my pureness, I will not drink alcohol at all.”
He also said, “ We will become a band that fits to any music genres like electronic and trot. So please look forward to our transformation and progress.”
Meanwhile, AKMU is sweeping the No.1 spot of numerous music charts and album charts with their debut album “PLAY”, all songs of which were composed and written by LEE CHAN HYUK. Music fans love all the songs of their album.
Earlier AKMU staged the performance of “200%” and “MELTED” on TV shows, and on May 15, they are planning to continue their TV performance with the third title track “GIVE LOVE” on Mnet’s ‘M-Countdown’.
