AKMU Has Taken No.1 in Unbroadcast “M-Countdown” for 3 Consecutive Weeks
[동아닷컴 정준화 기자] AKDONG MUSICIAN(AKMU), a duo of a brother and sister, has been taking the No.1 in Mnet’s “M-Countdown” for three weeks in a row. Music show “M-Countdown” has been unbroadcast for those three weeks.
“M-Countdown” decided not to air the show for three weeks, in token of sorrow over the recent ferry accident. However, “M-Countdown” disclosed the ranking of music for the last week of April on its official website, on the 2 this month.
On the “M-Countdown” chart as of May 1, AKMU’s “200%” is staying in the first place, as it did in the previous two weeks. In the second place, Apink’s “Mr.Chu” is placed as in the previous week, too.
Lee Sun Hee’s “Meet Him Among Them” took the third place, going up one notch from the previous week, and 15&’s “Can’t Hide It”, which had been ranked in the third place in the previous week, took the fourth place, being pushed down by Lee Sun Hee’s new song.
“I Just Loved You”, a song of new singer Sihwan Park who was the runner-up of “Super Star K Season 5”, is placed in the fifth place, drawing much attention.
The rank of “M-Countdown” is calculated by reflecting 50% from “music score” and 10% from each of “album score”, “social media score”, “preference score”, “broadcasting score”, and the result of “texting vote during live broadcasting”. Because the show was not aired on April 24, the broadcasting score and text vote score were not included in the calculation.
Meanwhile, “M-Countdown” has not been aired for three weeks from April 16, instead, “Live-Broadcast Music” with rather calm music and performance was aired on May 1.
